A variety of newtrue crimelimited series have arrived on streaming services this summer. Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, and HBO have all released their own projects. Hulu, especially, has dropped a lot of true crime content this summer. Perhaps that has something to do with the recent news that Disney+ will be absorbing Hulu as part of its own streaming platform. Then again, Hulu has always been particularly prolific in the true crime sphere.

Some of the shows on this list feature two installments, while others go up to four episodes. They focus on cases all over the United States and one goes out to sea. The oldest case is from the 1970s, but most are pretty recent — one had updates just last month. A few of these cases are unsolved, so be prepared for that. But not all of them leave a lot of unanswered questions. Remember, these are real stories about real people. Viewer discretion is advised.
