On December 21, we will be getting the big screen adaptation of the hit video gameAssassin’s Creed. And it promises to revolutionize the video game movie genre like no other release before it. While it’s still more than a year away, today we get the first official banner. And it arrives along with the announcement of anAssassin’s Creedviral site.
Today marks the debut of theAbstergoviral website. The movie’s official social accounts, includingTwitter, have shared an image of Abstergo CEO Alan Rikkin’s business card. It contains a phone number that fans can call. What does the message on the other end of the line reveal? When we’ll get the first teaser trailer!

What else is happening on March 25, you might be asking yourself? Well, that just happens to be the day thatBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicedebuts in theaters nationwide. That movie shares a cast member withAssassin’s CreedinJeremy Irons. And it sounds like this is where the first ever footage fromAssassin’s Creedwill drop. As the film is still in production, it makes sense that we’d still have to wait another three months before getting a sneak peek.

Justin Kurzel, who directedMichael Fassbenderin the upcomingMacbeth, directs from an adapted screenplay byScott Frank, Michael Leslie,Bill CollageandAdam Cooper. The film has already been set for release on August 16, 2025, arriving just five days afterRogue One: A Star Wars Story.
