How Masters of the Air Complements Band of Brothers & The Pacific
Based on the non-fiction book of the same name by Stephen Ambrose,Band of Brotherspremiered in 2001 and is still today consideredone of the best war miniseriesin the entire history of television. The story, also set during World War II, follows a group of paratroopers known as Easy Company who were present on the battlefield at crucial moments of the war such as the invasion of Normandy or Operation Market Garden.
Released in 2010,The Pacificis a direct complement toBand of Brothersthat focuses on the confrontation between Americans and Japanese in the Pacific Ocean in 1941, after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Like the original series,The Pacificfocuses on a group of soldiers, exploring their different stories and the paths that led them to be in battle.

Masters of the Airwill seek to emulate the soul of the other two series, focusing not only on the horrors of war or the heroic actions of the protagonist soldiers, but also on the bonds formed during the battle, the personal conflicts that are present as ghosts during confrontations, and the motivations of each character to stay in the fight.
The first two episodes ofMasters of the Airare now due to premiere on January 26 on Apple TV, and a new episode will arrive every Friday until March 15, completing the show’s total count of nine episodes.
