It’s been two years sinceBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicewas first announced atComic-Con 2013. And in that time, we’ve learned quite a bit about the movie. With 9 months still to go, possibly the biggest superhero movie ever returns toComic-Conthis Saturday with an epicHall Hpanel. This year’s annual event is all about the battle between these two iconic DC Comics icons. And yesterday’s preview night kicked off with a glorious Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice display on the convention room floor.
Housed in their perfect glass cases, fans were treated to a first-hand look at the actual costumes worn byHenry CavillasSuperman,Ben Affleckas Batman andGal Gadotas Wonder Woman. We also got a first look at Bruce Wayne’s Tech Cowl, which appears to have some very import, yet unknown functions. Is this what controlsBatman’s drones? On display alongside the costumes and Tech Cowl is the awesome Armored Batsuit that Bruce Wayne will use in fighting Superman in what promises to be an epic brawl unlike any ever seen before in a comic book movie. And yes, it will be costum-fitted withKryptonite.
Also seen on the San Diego Convention Floor was some of the cool gadgets and weapons that will be used by Billionaire Bruce Wayne when he is in vigilante form. These include Bat Grenades, the iconic Batarangs, and a very cool grappling gun. While the new Batman Cowl and Batmobile have been shown off in public leading up toComic-Con 2015, this is the first time these items, along with the armored Batsuit, have been shown off to fans, who are but an inch of glass away from movie magic. And not to be putdown by their counterpart, Wonder Woman and Superman’s costumes are witnessed in their full detail.
TheBatman v Superman: Dawn of JusticeQ&A panel kicks off Saturday, June 11 at 10:30 am, where we’re promised to see more new footage from the movie. The event will be headlined byHenry CavillandBen Affleck, who are joined by co-starsGal Gadot,Jesse Eisenberg,Amy Adams,Jeremy IronsandHolly Hunter. DirectorZack Snyderwill also be on hand.
