While Marvel Studios’ recent movies have divided opinion among some fans, one thing that everyone seems to agree on is that everyone loves a Wong moment. In fact, this was something that was pointed out by Jennifer Walters in episode 4 ofShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and it certainly is true. Since his first appearance in 2016’sDoctor Strange,Benedict Wonghas played the now Sorcerer Supreme in several movies and now on the small screen inShe-Hulk. However, while everyone wants to know whether Wong will ever get his own show, it seems the actor is more than on board with that possibility and has ideas of where it could go.
Wong has made appearances inAvengers: Infinity WarandAvengers: Endgame, as well asShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Spider-Man: No Way Homeand most recently inDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, he has also made an unexpected appearance as part ofShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law, where he has been linked to both Abomination andto the MCU’s new sensation Madisynn. This version of Wong has opened up many to ask whether the Sorcerer Supreme could head up his own Marvel series. Responding toThe Hollywood Reporter,Wong said:
“You know, a lot of people have said that. Yeah, I could certainly think of some ideas. But hey, it’s not for me to push that. If you ever see anyone, send the question over there. I mean, look, I love playing this role, and I think there’s so much more scope that we could go into with a series, yeah.”

Wong Has Been a Popular Comedy Character Since HisDoctor StrangeBeyoncé Moment
While there have been some who have complained about Tim Roth’s Emil Blonsky/Abomination being played in a more comical way inShe-Hulk: Attorney at Lawthan when he was previously seen inThe Incredible Hulkback in 2008, there have been no such complaints about Wong’s appearance as he has always been a brilliantly comical character, even at the darkest moments.
One of Wong’s first moments saw him listening to Beyoncé’sSingle Ladieson his headphones while Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange stole books from behind his back. This set up Wong as not only a grounded and relatable character but alsothe perfect foil for Strange, as he has proven to be over the years. This has helped endear the character to audiences, and those feeling have only seemed to grow with his most recent appearances inShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
While there is no doubt that Wong will be back in the MCU again in the future, whether he ends up getting his own series as part of that is still unknown. However, as one of the most popular characters of the entire franchise, it would not be surprising if a Wong solo series is currently being pitched somewhere within Marvel Studios.
