Nowadays, it seems as though every movie and television series ever produced is available on some streaming platform. There are the originals, like Netflix, Hulu, and Prime Video, and newer entries like HBO Max, Disney+, and Paramount+. Plus (see what we did there) a multitude of others, like Roku, Apple TV+, Peacock, and many more. Side note, is there a certain quota of “number of streamers with ‘plus’ shoehorned into their names” that needs to be met? Looking at you, Discovery+ and ESPN+.

However, our favorite programs cannot last forever, even in the Golden Age of Streaming. Rights change and expire, shows bounce from platform to platform, or sometimes disappear entirely. At least streamers usually announce ahead of time what is leaving and when. That way, audiences can prepare a proper farewellor a frenzied binge-watchif multiple favorite titles leave simultaneously.
