Aquaman and the Lost Kingdomslipped to No. 2 with $19.5 million, but the superhero flick held very well as it only dropped 29.6% from last week.Migrationlands at No. 3 with $17.2 million, and the film also saw a 38.4% increase from one week to the next.The Color Purplesettles for fourth place with $13 million, whileAnyone But Yourounds out the Top 5 with $9 million — a jaw-dropping 50% increase of its own.

Ferrari’sfirst weekend in the charts ends with an eighth-place finish ($4 million), whilePoor Thingsdrops out of the Top 10, but it still manages to make $2.3 million in only 800 theaters. No. 18All of Us Strangersclocks the best per-theater average with $21,500, and director Ilker Çatak’sThe Teachers’ Loungedebuts in limited release (3 theaters) at No. 25 with $15,665.

Barbie Wins 2023
Wonkawins the final weekend of 2023, but this year belonged to Greta Gerwig’sBarbie, as the bright-pink blockbuster topped both the domestic and worldwide charts.Barbieamassed a global take of $1.44 billion, and it’s only one of two films to eclipse the billion-mark in 2023.
