Captain America: Civil Warboasts one of the biggest casts for anyMarvelmovie, with almost every major star fromAvengers: Age of Ultronshowing up, along with a slew of other new characters. With a cast this big, all of whom are battling among each other, it’s clear that a few of these familiar heroes and/or villains may die in the movie.Comicbook.comreports that, during a Q&A session at Wizard World New Orleans, starFrank Grillojoked that he’d like to “killCaptain America,” which directorJoe Russohad a unique response to.

“We may or may not have filmed that scene, though. She asked about a scene you haven’t done.”

There have been rumors that Cap may die inCaptain America: Civil War, but then again,Chris Evansis still expected to return forAvengers: Infinity War Part Iin 2018 andAvengers: Infinity War - Part IIin 2019. While no deaths were officially confirmed during the panel, starAnthony Mackieteased that all of the superheroes “come out,” with the director adding, “Some body bags.“Hayley Atwell,Chris EvansandJeremy Rennerwere also present at the Q&A session.

Earlier in the panel, the director did describe the film as a “gut punch,” and that fans might not be prepared for what happens in the movie, so it’s completely possible that Cap may meet his untimely demise in the movie. This could also set up characters likeThe Winter Soldier(Sebastian Stan) or The Falcon (Anthony Mackie) taking over as the new Cap, which they have both done in the Marvel Comics.
