The outcome for the parties involved has been part and parcel of the modern tragedy seen inCon Mum. Of all the parties involved in the massive deception, Graham Hornigold has suffered the most.Hornigold is still dealing with the enormous debt incurred by Dionne, and his long-time partner, Heather Kaniuk, has since relocated to New Zealand with the pair’s young child. Hornigold’s losses were far more than monetary; his partner, child, and, despite the cruelty perpetrated by his mother.
By all accounts, Dionne had returned to Malaysia, where she resided prior to getting in touch with Graham.No charges had been filed at the time of this articlebecause authorities didn’t consider her actions fraud because of the biological relationship between her and Graham. Dionne’s apology to Graham and telling her son that she “cannot change” is the closest Hornigold has come to any absolution.
