Deadpool & Wolverinefeatures so many cameosand Easter eggsthat it’s honestly hard to keep track of them all. But there’s one very important cameo that not even the star of the movie,Ryan Reynolds, actually knew about. Not that the actor is always aware of everything taking place, but this cameo in particular puts Reynolds very close to another Marvel superhero that didn’t appear in his movie: a certain Avenger with a Spidey sense, played by Tom Holland.
As Reynolds revealed inan Instagram story, he found out that Holland’s little brother, Harry Holland, appeared in the movie as a stunt double. Reynolds was actually reposting a story by stunt coordinator George Cottle, who uploaded a photo of Holland in a Deadpool costume. Cottle’s caption reads: “When @slevydirect and @vancityreynolds set the bar so f’ing high, even the stunt team needed a special guest star!! It may not [be] the Holland the world wanted, but it was the Holland we all needed!! @harryholland64 you smashed it my friend! #haroldpool.”

Reynolds reposted the story and added the following: “This is how I find out?!? You tell me?” Holland also reposted the story and added: “Lots of cameos inDeadpool…” All the stories and reposts have since expired, butthanks to Deadline,we’re able to share a screenshot of Reynolds' digital bewilderment:
Although Tom Holland isn’t inDeadpool & Woverine, Harry Holland has appeared in a few projects with his brother, includingThe Impossible,Cherry, andSpider-Man: No Way Home.He also had a voice cameo inThe Mandalorian.

Deadpool & Wolverine: A Record-Smashing Cameo Spectacle
Deadpool & Wolverine
A follow-up to the highly successful Deadpool and Deadpool 2 films starring Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with a Mouth. The third film will be the first in the franchise to be developed under the Marvel Studios banner following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox.
Deadpool & Wolverineis breaking tons of box-office records and has the executives in charge of the MCU nodding their heads at successfully adding an R-rated character to their catalog. There’s no other way to put it, as the film hadthe best opening weekend of any R-rated film in history(almost half a billion globally in a single weekend). It also has the best opening of any film in 2024 (so far). CouldJoker: Folie à Deux, the other possible 2024 comic-book blockbuster, surpass it? It’s still hard to say.

It will also be a challenge to top the film’s crowd-pleasing combo of action and comedy. Audiences are seemingly loving the self-referential and fourth-wall-breaking character in what is unarguably his most absurd film to date, as he joins franchise character Wolverine to restore order to his world by mashing together multiverses and comic book IPs. It was pretty obvious that Reynolds and his team of writers would take this direction withDeadpool & Wolverine. However, upon release, some critics despised the film’s stance in terms of pop culture and fan service. When it comes to entertainment, it doesn’t get much better than a movie that pushes the envelope as far as this one. Most of this comes fromthe cameos the film has included. We won’t exactly spoil what they are, but we’ll tell you that many calls had to be made, lots of paychecks had to be signed, and previous film appearances had to be confronted by those who aren’t exactly eager to revisit them.
Deadpool & Wolverineis playing exclusively in theaters all around the globe.
