Set shortly after the events ofStar Wars: Episode IX — The Rise of Skywalker,Lego Star Wars Summer Vacationfocuses on Finn, who first appeared inThe Force Awakensin 2015. He’s arranging a surprise vacation for his friends Rey (Helen Sadler), Poe (Jake Green), and Rose.Kelly Marie Tranis reprising her role as Rose for the series and is joined by Anthony Daniels as C-3PO and Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian.

Unfortunately, Finn’s vacation doesn’t go according to plan, and he’s separated from the group. While searching for his friends, he encounters three Force ghosts: Obi-Wan Kenobi (James Arnold Taylor), Anakin Skywalker (Matt Lanter), and Leia Organa (Shelby Young). The special will feature three stories-within-a-story, as the force ghosts tell their own vacation tales to Finn.
In addition to the veteran cast from previous Lego specials,Summer Vacationwill include Dee Bradley Baker, Kevin Michael Richardson, Kyliegh Curran, Matt Lanter, Matt Sloan, Ross Marquand, Trevor Devall, Thomas Lennon, and Paul F. Thompkins. ‘Weird Al’ Yankovicis also joining the cast, playing Vic Vankoh, who will provide music and an original song titled ‘Scarif Beach Party’ for theStar Warsspecial. Looking for a much-needed break from stormtroopers and TIE fighters, Finn arranges a surprise vacation for his friends Rey, Poe, Rose, Chewie, BB-8, R2-D2, and C-3Po, aboard the ultra-luxurious Galactic Starcruiser, the Halcyon. But Finn’s plan to have one last hurrah together quickly goes awry when he’s separated from the group. Lego Specials Are a Success for Disney+
In 2020 Disney+ released theLego Star Wars Holiday Special, centering on Rey, who leaves her friends to prepare for Life Day. The cast featured many of the same voice actors fromSummer Vacation, with original actors like Billy Dee Williams reprising his role. In many ways, theLego Star Wars Holiday Specialis considered superior to the previousStar Wars Holiday Special. Yes,THAT Holiday Special. The 1978 TV Movie featuring the original cast members ofStar Warswas considered a disaster by fans of the franchise and overall a train-wreck of a production.

Following the success of the revampedLego Holiday Special, Disney turned to Halloween forLego Star Wars Terrifying Tales.The special featured Tony Hale, Matthew Wood, John DiMaggio, and Christian Slater. The 44-minute TV short was met with positive reviews from audiences, citingTerrifying Talesas another enjoyable Lego project from Disney+.
