Because so many films are set to arrive in August, it should be rather easy for viewers to find something they deem worth watching. No matter what genre a person prefers, the streaming platform has them covered next month.
The Bikeriders

Directed by Jeff Nichols,The Bikeridersis a crime drama set in Chicago in 1965.Inspired by real events, the film follows the Vandals Motorcycle Club, a fictional version of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club. The newest member of the Midwestern motorcycle club, Benny (Austin Butler), and the club’s leader, Johnny (Tom Hardy),form a brotherly bondrather quickly. However, after meeting Kathy (Jodie Comer) at a local bar, Benny’s loyalty to Johnny and the rest of the club will be put to the test.
At a time when culture and people started changing across America, the club began to change as well. What started as a gathering for other local outsiders eventually transforms into a dangerous gang constantly on the precipice of violence and crime. Because of this, Benny must choose between Kathy and his loyalty to the club. The rest of the cast includes Michael Shannon, Mike Faist, Boyd Holbrook, Damon Herriman, Beau Knapp, Emory Cohen, Karl Glusman, Toby Wallace, and Norman Reedus.The Bikeridersis streaming on Aug. 9.

Debuting in theaters over 20 years ago,The Fast and Furiousspawned a slew of sequels, whichshow no signs of stoppinganytime soon. There’s even an animated Netflix series that ran for six seasons. The action films center around Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel), the patriarch of his de facto family, and originally focused on the world of illegal street racing.
However, beginning with the fifth film in the franchise,Fast Five, the movies shifted toward complex heist narratives and spying that have now defined the series. Commercially successful, the franchise is Universal’s biggest franchise and the seventh highest-grossing film series, with a combined gross of over $7 billion globally.The Fast and the Furiousfranchise is streaming on Aug. 12.

She subsequently loses her alliances and attracts the attention of a skillful police investigator, who aims to bring her in. Directed by David Leitch,The Fall Guyis a comedic action film loosely based on the 1980s TV series of the same name. It followsa down-and-out stuntman, Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling), who returns to the business for first-time director Jody Moreno (Emily Blunt), who also happens to be his ex-girlfriend. Following a nearly career-ending accident while on the job months prior, Colt returns to the fray only to find himself in the middle of a conspiracy surrounding the film’s lead actor, Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson).
After Tom goes missing and Colt is enlisted to locate him, utter chaos ensues. As Colt tries to win back the love of his life, he must simultaneously fend off the dangers of what he discovers while searching for the troubled movie star. The film also includes performances by Hannah Waddingham, Teresa Palmer, Stephanie Hsu, Winston Duke, and Ben Knight.The Fall Guyis streaming on Aug. 30.
