Earlier this month, the new stage playHarry Potter and the Cursed Childopened with the first previews in London’s West End, set years afterHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Later this year, fans will get to explore a different side of theHarry Potteruniverse withFantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which is set for release this November from Warner Bros. Pictures. Earlier today, Warner Bros. released a new poster, with a new announcement coming soon.
The poster debuted onFantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’sTwitter, which also teased that “something FANTASTIC” is being announced soon. It’s possible that this announcement could be anew trailer, since we haven’t gotten any more footage since the first trailer arrived back in April. Then again, that’s just a guess for now, and we’ll have to wait and see what is actually announced.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Themopens in 1926 as Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident, were it not for aNo-Maj(American for Muggle) named Jacob (Dan Fogler), a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
Back in April,Dan Foglerteased that this new movie will featureyounger versionsof belovedHarry Pottercharacters. It’s possible that this “fantastic” announcement could reveal who is playing these characters. The actor wouldn’t confirm which characters would be revealed in this story, but it’s possible that we could see younger versions of Albus Dumbledore in this story, which is set 70 years before the firstHarry Pottermovie.
