This video offers plenty of new footage, showing much younger versions of Ben Grimm and Reed Richards experimenting with inter-dimensional travel, which Reed eventually masters as a young adult in this newFantastic Fourfootage. We also get a glimpse at the alternate dimension they visit, which causes incredible changes to their bodies.
Fantastic Four, a contemporary re-imagining ofMarvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy. This international trailer also gives us a new look atToby Kebbell’s Doom, both before and after his villainous transformation.
Reg E. Catheyis also prominently featured as Dr. Franklin Storm, the father ofThe Human TorchandThe Invisible Woman, who is seen trying to protect his children from the experiments the government is trying to put them through, after they come home with these unexplained powers.Tim Blake Nelsonis also briefly seen as Harvey Elder. In the comics, Harvey Elder transforms into The Mole Man, but it isn’t clear if that will happen in this superhero adaptation.
20th Century Fox is already developingThe Fantastic Four 2, which has a June 14, 2025 release date set. No director is attached yet, but there is a rumor that the studio wantsBryan Singerto direct the sequel, which would lead into anX-MenandFantastic Fourcrossover. Naturally, those plans haven’t been confirmed yet, but we may hear more ifFantastic Fourhits big at the box office.
Josh Trankdirects this superhero reboot from a script bySimon Kinberg, which is based on the UltimateFantastic Fourcomics. The reboot could very well be the last big box office hit of the summer, depending on how audiences respond to this much younger version ofMarvel’s first family.
