The upcoming action outingFast Xwill end with a “big” cliffhanger, according to director Louis Leterrier. Speaking withEmpire Magazine, the filmmaker warned audiences that the tenth installment would leave us all anxious for the franchise finale,Fast and Furious 11. And, knowing the ludicrous world ofFast and Furious, this cliffhanger could be literal…
“This one is big. You know, I don’t want to oversell it, but what we’re planning on the next one is just gigantic, in terms of action, scope and emotion. You will feel all the feels. Tears will roll.”

As well as teasing the scope of both the tenth and eleventh outings, Letterier seemingly confirms that he will indeed return to directorFast 11after stepping in at the very last minute to take overFast Xfollowing a fallout between director Justin Lin and star Vin Diesel.
The end of the road begins inFast X, the tenth film in theFast & FuriousSaga, which will launch the final chapter of one of cinema’s most storied and popular global franchises. The sequel sees Dom and his family confront the most lethal opponent they’ve ever faced. A terrifying threat emerging from the shadows of the past fueled by blood revenge and determined to shatter this family and destroy everything—and everyone—that Dom loves forever. In 2011’sFast Five, Dom and his crew took out nefarious Brazilian drug kingpin Hernan Reyes and decapitated his empire on a bridge in Rio de Janeiro. What they didn’t know was that Reyes’ son, Dante, witnessed it all and has spent the last 12 years masterminding a plan to make Dom pay the ultimate price.

Fast & Furious 10 & 11 Will Conclude the Hugely Popular Franchise
We have known for some time that bothFast XandFast XIwill bring the main franchise to a close. Though this is the first we have heard that there will be a major cliffhanger to cap offFast X. Original director Justin Lin, who walked away from helming the sequel following anassortment of backstage drama, revealed back in September 2021 thatFast and Furious 11will be the end of the road.
“The idea of the last chapter being two films is correct. I have to say, I’m so glad - because I think when I first entered this franchise, a sequel was not a given. You had to earn it, you know?” Lin said of wrapping things up. “And so to be sitting here talking to you and go, ‘Oh yeah, there’s gonna be two more movies!’ I’m like, ‘Wow.’ It means a lot. So, every day when I wake up, I’m trying to reconfigure and make sure hopefully whatever we’re talking about process wise is gonna yield the best result. But I think having one chapter in two movies is correct. That’s where I sit today.”
Fast Xstars a large ensemble cast containing both old and new faces, including Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jason Momoa, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, John Cena, Jason Statham, Alan Ritchson, Daniela Melchior, Scott Eastwood, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, Brie Larson, and Rita Moreno.
