This weekend, Warner Bros. kicks off its DC Extended Universe (DCEU) withBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which pits two iconic heroes against each other. In just over one month, though,Marvelwill unveil the first installment ofPhase ThreewithCaptain America: Civil War, featuring almost every hero in the MCU squaring off against each other. Today we have two new TV spots fromComicBook.comandAdoro Filmes, which features intriguing footage from this superhero adventure.

The first TV spot teases that Cap’s (Chris Evans) longtime friend Bucky Barnes, a.k.a.The Winter Soldier, is at the heart of the conflict that drives a wedge between Cap and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). Bucky is still a wanted man after the events ofCaptain America: The Winter Soldier, and we see that Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) tries to keep Cap from interfering, but that doesn’t happen, as Cap sides with Bucky, leading to a massive fight. The second TV spot doesn’t contain much new footage, but it showcases several of the individual heroes fighting on both sides.

Marvel’sCaptain America: Civil Warfinds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team ofAvengersin their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving theAvengersresults in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures theAvengers, resulting in two camps-one led bySteve Rogersand his desire for theAvengersto remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

Team Iron Man includes Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Vision (Paul Bettany), War Machine (Don Cheadle) and the new character T’challa (Chadwick Boseman), who will make his debut in this movie before starring inBlack Panther, set for release on July 11, 2025.
