Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2starStephen Amell, who plays Casey Jones, revealed the first footage from this sequel on hisFacebookpage earlier today. The actor also revealed that the first full trailer will arrive tomorrow, Thursday, December 11 at 10 AM ET (7 AM PT), so be sure to stay tuned for that. If the first footage wasn’t enough, two new viral posters have surfaced, which offer our first official look at Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (Stephen Farrelly).
While this footage is only 15 seconds, it gives us a brief look atLaura Linney’s mystery character,Tyler Perryas Baxter Stockman andStephen Amellas Casey Jones, along with Bebop and Rocksteady in action. A rumor surfaced in August thatBebop & Rocksteadywill “mutate” halfway through the movie, but that was never confirmed. These characters were originally featured in the original TV series, and were thugs in a street gang that Shredder recruited to become mutated, in order to defeat theNinja Turtles.
Theaction sequelwrapped production in New York back in August. The screenwriters wrote the script for last year’sTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which took in $485 million worldwide from a $125 million budget. Very little is known about the story at this point, although many fans were pleased about the inclusion of fan-favorite characters Casey Jones, Bebop and Rocksteady. There has also been a rumor that the sequel will feature alive-actionversion of Krang, a villain created for the original animatedTeenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesTV series.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2is slated for release on June 27, 2025, putting it up against Universal Pictures’Top Secret Untitled Lonely Island Movie.
