Timothy Olyphant May Return as Raylan Givens in New Series from Justified Team at FX

Timothy Olyphant returns once again to deliver his particular brand of justice as the cowboy hat-wearing, gunslinging Kentuckylawman Raylan Givens. But unlike his time inJustified, Givens will be older and hopefully more cautious as he raises his 15-year-old daughter. The synopsis forJustified: City Primeval(viaVariety) reads:

“The show picks up with Givens eight years after he left Kentucky behind. He now lives in Miami, a walking anachronism balancing his life as a U.S. Marshal and part-time father of a 15-year-old girl (Vivan Olyphant). His hair is grayer, his hat is dirtier, and the road in front of him is suddenly a lot shorter than the road behind. A chance encounter on a desolate Florida highway sends him to Detroit. There he crosses paths with Clement Mansell (Holbrook), aka The Oklahoma Wildman, a violent, sociopathic desperado who’s already slipped through the fingers of Detroit’s finest once and aims to do so again. Mansell’s lawyer, formidable Motor City native Carolyn Wilder (Ellis), has every intention of representing her client, even as she finds herself caught in between cop and criminal, with her own game afoot as well.”

Justified: City Primevalwill feature Adelaide Clemens as Sandy, Clement Mansell’s girlfriend; Vondie Curtis-Hall as Sweety, a local bar owner and musician and known scamster; Marin Ireland as Maureen, a Detroit cop; Norbert Leo Butz as Norbert, a Detroit detective; and Victor Williams as Wendell, also a Detroit detective. Timothy Olyphant’s daughter, Vivian, will play his on-screen daughter as well.
