Academy Award nomineeRalph Fienneswould love to return as theHarry Pottervillain Voldemort, with the actor saying he would jump at the chance to bring the nose-less bad guy back for more. Speaking withVariety, Fiennes quickly declared his eagerness to bring Voldemort back.
“Sure, of course. No question about it.”
Fiennes first appeared as “You-Know-Who” and “He Who Must Not Be Named” in the fourthHarry Potterouting, 2005’sHarry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, going on to torture the Wizarding World throughout the rest of the franchise, which wrapped up withHarry Potter and the Deathly HallowsParts 1 and 2 in 2011.
Fiennes’ enthusiasm for more Voldemort is sure to come as music to the ears of Chief Executive Officer and President of Warner Bros. Discovery David Zaslav,who is reportedly pushing forHarry Potter and the Cursed Childto be adapted for the big screen. While producer Toby Emmerich put forward the idea, it was rejected because it “would have been an admission that Fantastic Beasts wasn’t working, a tough pill for Rowling to swallow because she was so creatively involved.”
Now that the Fantastic Beasts franchise has seemingly failed, and with Ralph Fiennes up for bringing Voldemort back, what’s stopping Warner Bros. Pictures from making an adaptation ofHarry Potter and the Cursed Childa reality? Well…

Harry PotterActor Daniel Radcliffe is Not So Keen to Return
Unfortunately, while Ralph Fiennes is eager to resurrect the villainous Voldemort,Harry Potteractor Daniel Radcliffeis not so keen to return to the hugely popular franchise.Asked back in March whether he would come back as an older Harry in the future, Radcliffe said, “This isn’t the answer that anybody’s going to want, but I think I was so able to go back and enjoy it because it’s not a part of my day-to-day life anymore.”
The actor continued, explaining that he feels like he “made it out” of being Harry Potter. “I’m getting to a point where I feel like I made it out of “Potter” OK and I’m really happy with where I am now, and to go back would be such a massive change to my life,” he said before adding that he would never say never. “I’m never going to say never, but the “Star Wars” guys had like 30, 40 years before they went back. For me, it’s only been 10. It’s not something I’m really interested in doing right now.”
While it might be a while before we see Ralph Fiennes return as Voldemort, the actor can next be seen as a sinister chef in the upcoming black comedy,The Menu.
