Today, we have a new report fromUS Magazine, which reveals the show’s producers have come up with a way to explain Michelle Tanner’s absence.
An unidentified insider claims thatFuller Housecast members will mention that Michelle is now living in New York, building her own fashion empire. This is a reference toMary-Kate OlsenandAshley Olsenthemselves, who both live in New York and have several different fashion lines that they run, including The Row and Elizabeth and James. This source also claims that an unidentified character in one episode prank calls Michelle by saying “You got it, dude,” which was young Michelle’s catch phrase during the show’s original eight-season run.
Netflixissued a 13-episode order forFuller Houseback in April, with the series centering on originalFull HousestarsCandace Cameron Bureas DJ, Jodie Sweetin as Stephanie and Andrea Barber as DJ’s best friend, Kimmy Gibbler. The story follows DJ Tanner-Fuller, pregnant and recently widowed, living in San Francisco. D.J.’s younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Sweetin) and D.J.’s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Barber), along with Kimmy’s feisty teenage daughter Ramona, all move in to help take care of D.J.’s two boys - the rebellious 12-year-old J.D. and neurotic 7-year-old Max - and her soon-to-arrive baby.
John Stamos is also reprising his role as Uncle Jesse and serving as a producer onFuller House, withDave Coulier(Cousin Joey),Bob Saget(Danny Tanner) andLori Loughlin(Aunt Becky) also returning in guest-starring roles. Original series creator Jeff Franklin returned to create this new show and executive produce with Robert L. Boyett, Thomas L. Miller. Netflix revealed earlier this year that the show will debut in 2016, but a specific release date has not been given.
