‘High Potential’ already has a great cast, but surely there’s room for one more with this recent guest star endearing fans.

What Will Season 2 Be About?

There’s a lot up in the air for Season 2. Of course, there’s the big mystery about Morgan’s missing husband, Roman, and whether he will be added to the story. Morgan, meanwhile, has beenenjoying a flirtmance with Tom(JD Pardo), a former janitor at the LAPD who has moved to complete nursing school and start working as a nurse.

There are also hints of feelings between Morgan and Karadec, with him showing a romantic attraction towards her as he gets to know her. Both men complicate her personal life, especially with Roman potentially coming back into the picture.

Meanwhile, the case involving the mysterious Jigsaw-like kidnapper, played by David Giuntoli, remains open. While Oz was saved thanks to Morgan’s quick thinking, others are still missing. The killer continues to goad the authorities into playing his sick game of “find them before they die.”

IfHigh Potentialcloses its only overarching story by introducing Roman, it will need to find a way to keep viewers gripped beyond that. The storyline with Roman would have to involve his permanent return, a viable reason why he has to continue on the run, or his death. With Morgan clearly still in love with her first husband, he likely still madly in love with her, it might be too harsh for a lighter procedural like this one to end their love story in tragedy.

There needs to be room for Morgan to grow personally and on a romantic level, but it also can’t become a distraction from her work, which is the aspect of the show fans love to see: Morgan in action, observing, analyzing, and pointing out details no one could have fathomed.

While some fans are “shipping” Morgan and Karadec, the show would probably bebetter off without a romance between them. The constant frustration Karadec feels in dealing with Morgan and her antics is what makes the dynamic so fun to watch. While Tom would be a great partner, they both have demanding jobs and don’t live nearby anymore, so it simply wouldn’t work.

With that said,High Potentialis, at its heart, a procedural, so even if it’s just about the case-by-case episodes, fans would probably be just fine with that. The real magic, after all, is with Morgan and Karadec. As long as those two continue to work cases together, that’s all fans need.
