The internet is a great place for anyone who doesn’t want to always know the facts about something. That is especially true when it comes to rumors about how well a movie is doing in early test screenings, and Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones bow has been the subject of plenty of rumors that don’t show it in a good light. Recently, directorJames Mangold took to his Twitter accountin order to debunk rumors of “disastrous” test screenings, and that the movie’s ending would see Ford being replaced as the franchise lead. Responding to one message about the possibility of Indy being replaced in the franchise, Mangold said:

“Well, Paulo, it’s up to you who you believe – an anonymous troll named “basement dweller” & “doomcock” or the actual director of the film. No one will ever replace Indiana Jones. Not in any script. Not in any cut. Never discussed.”

The director also shut down talk of terrible test screenings, simply responding to messages to say that there could not have been any disastrous test screenings, as there had not been any test screenings at all. While it seems there are some people out there who just don’t want the movie to do well, possibly after some of the mixed reviews thatKingdom of the Crystal Skullreceived, themajority of fans are eagerly awaiting the final chapterin one of the greatest movie franchises of all time.
