Production got under way on the highly-anticipatedJustice Leaguelast month in the U.K., withZack Snyderat the helm, but we have yet to get any story details or an official cast list from Warner Bros. as of yet. We haven’t heard anything about the production thus far, aside from the movie addingJ.K. While we wait for more details,Jason Momoahas given us another glimpse at hisAquamanlook in a new photo.
The actor took to hisInstagrampage earlier today to share a new photo, presumably from theJustice League Part 1set, where he’s seen sporting his elaborateAquamantattoos and full beard. The actor is seen holding up a sign to support a movement called Rezpect Our Water, which is trying to stop an oil pipeline from crossing the Missouri River near the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe Reservation in Fort Yates, North Dakota. Here’s what the actor had to say about supporting this cause.
“I support the #NativeYouth of #StandingRockRez. I signed the petition to stop the #DakotaAccess Pipeline, your turn click on the link in my bio. Please take a second to check out what’s happening. Mahalo EZRA @panterasarah and shai. For spreading the awareness ALOHA j.”
Justice League Part 1is shooting atLeavesden studiosin southeast England, and will utilize on-location shoots in London and Iceland. It was originally rumored thatJustice League Part 1andJustice League Part 2will be shot at the same time, but that report was recently debunked. Warner Bros. has slatedJustice League Part 1for release on July 22, 2025, withJustice League Part 2arriving in theaters on July 06, 2025. Last month,Jason Momoashared a brief video from one of hisJustice League workouts, but that’s about the closest thing we’ve seen to any sort of footage thus far. Hopefully we’ll get our first look at the entireJustice Leaguetogether, including Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), The Flash (Ezra Miller) Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and Aquaman. Until then, take a look atJason Momoa’s Aquaman photo from theJustice Leagueset.
