Bryan Cranston brings his trademark sense of humor along for the ride — not for another trip on the “Death Bus,” though — when he swings by and visits with theOffice Ladies. Yes, the star ofMalcolm in the MiddleandBreaking BadjoinedThe Officepodcast to close out January. And during his episode, the Emmy Award-winner asked hosts Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey if they would reprise their roles as Pam Beesly and Angela Martin, respectively, for a revival movie. Cranston pondered (via theOffice Ladies):

“Let’s say that there’s not a reboot series, but what if there was a movie? Something to where we can see where these people are. These people in the entire cast that we’re curious about. We wondered at the end, where did they go? What did become of them?”

Fischer answered:

As long as Greg [Daniels] is writing it, and he’s in charge of it, then I say yes.

Kinsey added:

I would do it for my kids because I think they would think that’s fun.

Cranston responded:

I just want to be an extra in it. I would be some guy. I’d be a crossing guard or something like that. Just something.

The Office’s Infamous ‘Death Bus’

Bryan Cranstonhas won a total of six Emmys (4 acting, 2 producing) for his incomparable work on the hit television seriesBreaking Bad. And whileCranston is also known bySeinfeldfansfor his indelible appearances on “the show about nothing,” as dentist Tim Whatley, the Hollywood creative also directed the season 9 episode ofThe OfficetitledWork Bus. And during his appearance on theOffice Ladiespodcast, Fischer, Kinsey and Cranston reflected on the impossible working conditions which were faced while making that particular show.

The Office (U.S.)

One of the big issues which led to the episode being referred to as the “Death Bus” byThe Officecastand crew was that there wasn’t initially any air conditioning available to cool off the cramped set. And Fischer remembered when a small portable AC unit was hooked up to the bus. Unfortunately, Fischer recalled smelling a foul odor while shooting on the “Death Bus.” Cranston hurried over to the source and discovered that carbon dioxide was being pumped onto the set rather than cool air! Cranston shouted:

Get off the bus!

As it turns out, the portable AC unit was being towed behind the bus. And, as a result, the fumes from the exhaust pipe were being pumped onto the set and effectively poisoning everyone! Fortunately, Fischer’s “sensitive nose” picked up the stench and ended up saving everyone’s lives.
