Lindsay Lohanreunited with one of herMean Girlsco-stars in her latest feature, the Netflix holiday romantic comedyOur Little Secret. While devoted fans of Mark Waters' “grool” 2004 film likely noticed the shared screen time between the two stars, it might have gone unnoticed by some viewers. InOur Little Secret, Lohan stars as Avery, a woman who finds herself ina complicated holiday situationwith her ex. You see, when Avery meets her boyfriend’s family (led by the hilarious Kristin Chenoweth as family matriarch Erica), she’s shocked to discover that her ex, Logan (played byPretty Little Liars’Ian Harding), is dating her boyfriend’s sister.Tim Meadowsportrays Stan, a friend of Erica’s family.
Our Little Secretisn’t the first time Meadows and Lohan have appeared in the same movie this year. They both had roles in this year’sMean Girlsmusical reboot, but never got to collaborate on a scene. Meadows reprised the role of North Shore High School principal Mr. Duvall, while Lohan made a cameo appearance as the moderator of the Mathletes competition. During an interview with Netflix’sTudumaboutOur Little Secret, Lohan and Meadows discussed what it was like reuniting for the holiday feature:
“It was really lovely to see her again,” Meadows shared. “The surprise to me — if any — was just how we both enjoy each other’s company. And she asked me to take a photo together first!”
Lohan called their reunion “a full circle moment,” adding:
“Tim is just such a wonderful human being. I just love being around him. We had a few moments where I could not stop laughing.”
Holiday Features Rule the Netflix Streaming Charts
Our Little Secretdebuted on Netflix on November 27 and quickly rose to the top of the streaming charts. ‘Tis the season, and all. Other Christmas-focused films are also sitting pretty on the streamer’s current list, including:The Merry Gentlemen(starring Lohan’sFreaky Fridaycastmate Chad Michael Murray) andThe Christmas Chronicles, andHot Frosty(led byMean Girlsalum Lacey Chabert). With Lohan and Chabert now both starring in Netflix holiday rom-coms — would it be too much to ask for a holiday movie starring both ladies? The two did reunite (alongside Amanda Seyfried, Rajiv Surendra, and Daniel Franzese) fora memorable Black Friday Walmart adlast year. Lohan and Chabert had nothing but positive words about the experience: Chabert called the reunion a “treasured experience” and “really special,” while Lohan shared how it “was great catching up with everyone.” Fingers crossed.
Next year,we’ll see another notable reunionfor Lohan as she shares the screen with co-stars from another one of her beloved 2000s films: 2003’sFreaky Friday. Lohan, Jamie Lee Curtis, Murray, and Mark Harmon return forFreakier Friday, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 25, 2025.
Our Little Secretis written by Hailey DeDominicis and directed by Stephen Herek (Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure). Jon Rudnitsky, Judy Reyes, Henry Czerny, Chris Parnell, and Dan Bucatinsky star alongside Lohan, Harding, Chenoweth, and Meadows.
