Shyamalan isn’t the director this time, with that job going to Celine Held and Logan George, but he’s attached to the project as a producer thanks to his Blinding Edge Pictures production company.

UnlikeTrap,Caddo Lakeis going straight to streaming and skipping a theatrical release entirely. Those awaiting the movie’s arrival will now be able to set a marker for its debut onMax on October 10. Held and George work together as a filmmaking team, and the two have worked with Shyamalan before. The pairing directed episodes of the Shyamalan-producedServant, a series that ran for four seasons on Apple TV+. As for O’Brien, things are shaping up to be a big year for him. O’Brien is tackling the role of Dan Aykroyd inSaturday Night, a film chronicling the very first episode ofSaturday Night Live. What is Caddo Lake about?

Caddo Lakeis shaping up to be a must-see film for thriller fans as it follows the disappearance of a girl and how it’s all connected to a series of deaths and disappearances at the titular Caddo Lake. The film was inspired by a photo of thereal Caddo Lake, a location on the border of Texas and Louisiana. Shooting took place in Shreveport, a roughly 30-minute drive from the actual Caddo Lake.

During production, the name of the movie changed fromVanishingstoThe Vanishings at Caddo Lakebefore settling on justCaddo Lake. With it just being a Shyamalan production instead of being directed by him, viewers might not have to prepare themselves for a classic twist. On the other hand, thrillers tend to keep the audience guessing until the very end, so don’t be surprised to see a few unexpected moments.
