Back in January, when production started on Season 3 of WGN America’s hit seriesSalem, the network announced that music iconMarilyn Mansonwill return to the small screen in a guest starring role. While best known as a musician, he has previously appeared on hit shows such asEastbound & Down,Californication,Once Upon a Time, and, most recently, on the final season ofSons of Anarchy. While we wait for the Season 3 premiere ofSalem, the network has released a brief trailer which gives us our first look atMarilyn Manson’s character, Thomas Dinley, and we also have the Comic-Con trailer as well.
Production on Season 3 ofWGN America’sSalemtook place in Shreveport, Louisiana, featuringManson’s character Thomas Dinley, a barber and surgeon. He is described as “the go-to man” in Salem, from a shave and a haircut to being leeched, bled, sliced open or sewn up. The four-time Grammy nominee is no stranger to the cable network’s first scripted original, having previously collaborated withSalem’s composerTyler Bateson the show’s opening title sequence. The hauntingly dark track, “Cupid Carries a Gun,” sets the tone for the enthralling one-hour drama which boldly reimagines the infamous 17th centurywitch trialsin a world where witches are real, but they are not who or what they seem to be.
