But I found, as I kept watching, that what was near-constant was the smile on my face.” Similarly, Joel Keller of Decider was also swept up in the show’s charms, concluding, “The charm of Anna Lambe and the Arctic small-town setting makeNorth Of Northa breezy, fun watch.”

Now thatNorth of Northhas found an audience, many will be asking about Season 2. Well, there’s good news, as Indiewire has previously revealed that several sets from the show, which were constructed in Toronto, have been preserved for a potential return. Meaning that there are likely early plans for North of North to get a second season. Alongside this, creator Aglok MacDonald has teased more to come. Speaking with Elle Canada earlier this year, she said…
“We wanted to do something joyful. We wanted to do something that was comedy-forward but with a heart. A story about a young, modern Inuk woman was something that [fellow series creator Alethea Arnaquq-Bari] and I felt that we could relate to and write for as modern Inuit women ourselves. We had a few of the flagpoles kind of in place, and it felt like such a deep well of stories because we’re from the north—it’s where we’ve lived our entire lives. We have a story for everything; we can tell seasons with a story like this.”
