According toDeadline, Netflix has greenlit the film in the most heartfelt way possible. The movie was announced onHeartstopper’s third anniversary of its Jun 20, 2025, premiere. Joe Locke andKit Connor willcontinue to star as their leading characters and also executive produce. It will serve as the series finale, and Wash Westmoreland (Still Alice,The Earthquake Bird) will direct.Heartstopperisan adaptation of Alice Oseman’s webcomic and graphic novel of the same name. Oseman, who wrote the script for the show, is back to serve as the writer for the feature film, which will be drawn from the final volume of the graphic novel.
