Released the same year asTroppoandHalo’s first season,Sissyis an independent Australian horror movie about a social media influencer who attends a bachelorette party that goes horribly wrong. Written and directed by Hannah Barlow and Kane Senes, the film stars Aisha Dee (Apple Cider Vinegar) in the title role of “Sissy” (short for Cecilia).

The show ran for two seasons from 2022-2024.

An Early Supporting Role

Ha appeared in the first season ofTroppoas Ah Rah Park. Her character’s father, Jong Min Park (Sonny Le), is the missing Korean scientist that Conkaffey and Pharrell are trying to find. Since season two follows a new mystery, Ha’s character is confined to the show’s first season, but it’s definitely a place to catch some of her early supporting work.

3’Halo' (2022 - 2024)

Ha’s first leading role was in the Showtime television adaptation of the popular Bungie video game,Halo. The futuristic series is set in the 26th century, where humans are battling an alien alliance called The Covenant. Pablo Schreiber (The Wire) stars as the super soldier Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 with a cast that includes Shabana Azmi (Neerja), Natasha Culzac (The Wheel of Time), Olive Gray (Half Moon Investigations), and Natascha McElhone (The Crown).

Starring On an International Stage

Appearing across both seasons, Ha plays an astute 16-year-old insurrectionist by the name of Kwan Ha. Kwan comes from the Outer Colony planet Madrigal and is the daughter of insurrectionist parents whose people are attacked by The Covenant. The role really opened up Ha’s career, giving her a larger international platform and plenty of screen time.

Reef Breakis a 13-episode crime thriller that aired on ABC during the summer of 2019. It stars Poppy Montgomery (Without a Trace) as Cat Chambers, a thief-turned-fixer solving high-stakes crimes on Reef Island. The show only aired for one season and was canceled in December 2019.

Making Her Television Debut

Ha made her television debut inReef Break, appearing in six episodes. She is introduced in Episode 3 as Technie Jane. It was a small part, but it got her in front of French and American audiences. That same year, Ha starred as Maurice in a stage production ofLord of the Fliesat the Roslyn Packer Theatre in Sydney.

Ha got her start as a dancer in electronic dance pop vocalist Fluir and composer Jesse Marantz’s 2016 music video, “I Gotta Have You.” The song is fun and upbeat, with themusic videoset in a boxing studio where a group of people are working out and dancing. Everyone is having a good time and their acrobatic skills are on full display. The video was directed by Anna McGrath.

Serious Dance Skills

Ha appears in a yellow t-shirt and ponytail, playfully dancing in competition with one of the other dancers. The actor proves to be an impressive dancer, at one point doing a split during a dance battle in the boxing ring. The dancers, including Ha, were students at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney, Australia at the time of filming.
