The Duffer Brothers have found themselves in some controversy for pushing an unscripted kiss between two teenage actors on the set ofStranger ThingsSeason 2. The news came during Netflix’s after show for the hit series, “Beyond Stranger Things.” Sadie Sink, who plays Max, revealed that the kiss was unscripted and that it really “stressed” her out the day of the shoot. After the fourth season ofStranger Thingstook the world by storm, another Netflix original series is taking the crown as the #1 original streaming show in the country. According to the lateststreaming data from Nielsen, which looks at the week of June 20-26, the third season ofThe Umbrella Academywas viewed for 2.45 billion minutes, beating out the 2.33 billion minutes of watch time accrued byStranger Thingsduring the same period. The numbers do come with a bit of a caveat, as the second part of the latestStranger Thingsseason had yet to premiere on Netflix during that week, whileThe Umbrella Academypremiered on June 22....

Netflix has released the first trailer forUnfortunate EventsSeason 2, which reveals that new episodes will premiere on March 30. The video begins with Neil Patrick Harris asCount Olaf, who directly addresses each viewer who he assumes was “burning the midnight oil” last night. Brandishing a pair of blades, Olaf introduces the first footage from Season 2 along with the spring release date on Netflix. The actual footage from the new season is quite brief, featuring the Baudelaire children climbing a ladder up to a mysterious device in the sky, along with another key scene where Klaus presses a remote button to open the curtains, only to find Count Olaf standing behind them, asking if the shock of seeing him has produced a “nightmare” effect, which is exactly what he is going for....
