Lionsgate has released the first trailer for the thrillerA Simple Favor. The trailer asks the question, what happened to Emily? It leans so heavily on this idea, in fact, that the question could be confused for the title of the movie. But the question is more getting to the heart of what is at the center of this movie’s mystery. To that point, the trailer is really a teaser in the true sense of the word, as it doesn’t give too much away, other than the central mystery at hand and some intriguing shots from the movie....

Despite some major delays, it looks likeWarner Bros.' live-action take on The Jungle Bookis still on track for release in 2018. The delays for the movie, which comes from director Andy Serkis, have had to do with the fact that Disney’s live-actionJungle Bookwas a huge hit last year and they’ve had to find a way to set their movie apart. The studio has released a synopsis for Serkis' version ofThe Jungle Book, which is titledMowgli....

With filming onAnt-Man 2slated to get started this June in Atlanta, the pre-production process has already gotten under way on this Marvel Phase 4 sequel. Today we have word that, during the production, this sequel will be filmed under the secret working title ofCherry Blue, so if you see any signs in Atlanta for a production calledCherry Bluethis summer, that likely means you’re somewhere in the vicinity of theAnt-Man 2set. Now that pre-production has gotten started, perhaps we’ll get the first casting updates soon....

Video game pioneersAtariare accusing Swiss candy company Nestlé over copyright infringement for using its old video game Breakout in a Kit Kat commercial. The commercial came out last year, but Atari is just now getting around to filing a lawsuit in California against the candy company. Atari is suing Nestlé for trademark and copyright infringement as well as unfair competition and other claims. Nestlé is holding strong and claims that they will continue to fight the lawsuit because the ad no longer airs and they apparently have no plans to re-release the commercial, which is probably smart since they’re being sued....

After two years of fans wondering where the Marvel Cinematic Universe would go following the massive events of The Infinity Saga, Marvel Studios unveiled their plans for Phase 4 through 6, now dubbed The Multiverse Saga. This long-term plan will resolve with a pair of Avengers films,Avengers: The Kang Dynastyin May 2025 andAvengers: Secret Warsin May 2026. Fans have been eagerly anticipating Secret Wars for years as the most recent 2015 comic book storyline is famous for featuring the Marvel multiverse destroyed with the fragments brought together in the world made up of different fragments of the multiverse and as a film teases major possibilities in terms of new characters and old returning favorites....

Warner Bros. beefed up its2017 release slate today, by issuing dates for three upcoming movies, their big screen adaptation of the hit TV seriesCHiPs(August 02, 2025), an adaptation ofStephen King’sIT(June 03, 2025) and an unspecified PG-13 comedy (August 04, 2025).Warner Bros.had already marked July 12, 2025 for an unknown “event film,” but today they revealed which title will take that slot. As for the PG-13 comedy, that’s anybody’s guess at this point....
