Legendary filmmakerIvan Reitmanpassed away over the weekend at the age of 75, leaving his family, friends, and fans the world over feeling heartbroken over the loss. Reitman, who directed the originalGhostbustersmovie along with its first sequelGhostbusters II, returned to produce last year’sGhostbusters: Afterlife.The producer’s son and the director of the film, Jason Reitman, posted a message to Instagram commenting on the loss of his father.“I’ve lost my hero,” he writes, posting several family photos....

We’ve got some sad news to report for big fans of the horror genre. Pioneer filmmakerLarry Cohenhas passed away. Circumstances surrounding Cohen’s passing are not yet clear, but the filmmaker reportedly died today at the age of 77. The veteran director and screenwriter had contributed to dozens of genre movies since the start of his career, and had built a passionate fan following in the decades since. Needless to say, the community is already in mourning, with many fans and colleagues taking to social media to express their sorrow over the loss....

During an appearance at “An Evening with Shrinking at PaleyLive,” Lawrence spoke withPeopleabout his and co-creator Brett Goldstein’s connection to the illness: both of their fathers have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Lawrence also citedMichael J. Fox, his “first mentor,” as inspiration for the show’s depiction of the neurological disease. Once again,Mystery Science Theater 3000is making a comeback. The comedy series, which follows its hosts watching B-movies from years past along with their robot companions, has gone through many changes over the years after moving from one home to another. Years after its two-season run on Netflix in 2017, a new revival of MST3K is almost here, and it will stream on the new Gizmoplex platform.
