Though the creative approach of shooting an 82-minute film without cuts or interruption spurs genuineness from its performances and creates sincere claustrophobia for the viewer, it amounts to little more than a dark evocation of anxiety.Let’s Scare Julieis no doubt a new and thrilling ride with refreshingly real characters to invest in, but the payoff for those sitting on edge awaiting true terror never quite arrives....

One of the biggest surprises ofGodzilla Vs Kong, which was not really a surprise at all because the news had been spoiled online long ago, was the entry of Mechagodzilla. Concept artists Jared Krichevsky, who did creature designs for the film, posted on Instagram about the process of creating the look of the giant mechanical monstrosity. Krichevsky mentioned how the VFX supervisor on the project, Legacy Effects studio Co-Head John Rosengrant told him, “It has to be aTerminator,” regarding the appearance of Mechagodzilla, which Krichevsky took up as a challenge....

Things are looking a little bit odd for the nextCloverfieldmovie. Paramount has been shifting the movie’s release date for a long time, with its original release date slated for early last year. Recently, it was bumped to April 20 and now we may know why. It looks like the studio doesn’t feel the movie is worthy of a theatrical release and, as such, Netflix is in talks to acquire and distributeCloverfield 3....

Warner Bros. announced today that they are distributing a newUntitled Moviefrom heralded filmmakerChristopher Nolan, handing out a July 21, 2017release datefor the mystery project. The movie will go up against Universal’sPitch Perfect 3and an untitled animated movie from 20th Century Fox, DreamWorks Animation and BlueSky Studios.
