Paramount Pictures has released the official trailer forPAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie. This is the second feature film to be spawned from the children’s television seriesPAW Patrol, following the release ofPAW Patrol: The Moviein 2021. While that film had a day-and-date release, which saw it hitting theaters and Paramount+ on the same day,PAW Patrol: The Mighty Moviewill be showing exclusively in theaters. It will be released on Sept. 29, 2023, and you can get a sneak peek by watching the new trailer below.

With the pups getting superpowers to become superheroes, in line with many other theatrical releases these days, this film looks to be the most exciting adventure for thePAW Patrolpups yet. The official synopsis forPAW Patrol: The Mighty Movieis as follows:

When a magical meteor crash lands in Adventure City, it gives the PAW Patrol pups superpowers, transforming them into The MIGHTY PUPS! For Skye, the smallest member of the team, her new powers are a dream come true. But things take a turn for the worse when the pups' archrival Humdinger breaks out of jail and teams up with Victoria Vance, a meteor-obsessed mad scientist, to steal the superpowers and turn themselves into supervillains. With the fate of Adventure City hanging in the balance, the Mighty Pups have to stop the supervillains before it’s too late, and Skye will need to learn that even the smallest pup can make the biggest difference.

PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie Has an All-Star Cast

An all-star cast is used for the secondPAW Patrolfilm. The movie features the voices of Mckenna Grace, Taraji P. Henson, Marsai Martin, Christian Convery, Ron Pardo, Lil Rel Howery, Kim Kardashian, Chris Rock, Serena Williams, Alan Kim, Brice Gonzalez, North West, Saint West, Christian Corrao, Luxton Handspiker, Nylan Parthipan, Callum Shoniker, James Marsden, and Kristen Bell. Also introduced is Finn Lee-Epp.

The project is a collaboration between Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon Movies, and Spin Master Entertainment. It is directed by Cal Brunker, who wrote the screenplay with Bob Barlen. Brunker and Barlen crafted the story with Shane Morris using characters created by Keith Chapman. The film is produced by Jennifer Dodge, Laura Clunie, and Toni Stevens, while executive producers include Ronnen Harary, Adam Beder, and Peter Schlessel.

ThePAWPatrolTV show will be celebrating its tenth anniversary in August, having premiered on Nickelodeon in 2013. There’s no plan to stop anytime soon, as earlier this year, the show was renewed for an eleventh season, bringing its run through at least the spring of 2024. The franchise has also furtherexpanded with the spinoff seriesRubble & Crew, which premiered in February. A strong performance at the box office with the new movie could mean that more feature films could also be made.

PAW Patrol: The Mighty Moviewill be released in movie theaters on Sept. 29, 2023. For now, you can stream the TV series onParamount+.
