The MandalorianstarPedro Pascalsays he would love to reunite with hisThe Unbearable Weight of Massive Talentco-star Nicolas Cage for director Adam Wingard’s action movie sequel,Face/Off 2. Speaking withGQ, Pascal, who stars as a Nicolas Cage super-fan in the upcoming meta-comedyThe Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, replied eagerly to the idea of joiningFace/Off 2, revealing that the 1997 original is one of the movies that he admires.

“Yes. Yes I would. [Laughs.] I mean, really just a straightforward answer. Yes. I rattle off so many movies that were from the ‘80s, before I graduated high school, so the impression that they left on me obviously was so big. But then of course, once you get into the ‘90s and Leaving Las Vegas and then into Face/Off, it’s a whole other level of admiration. All of that is to say yes: I would like to be a part of Face/Off 2.”

Not much, if anything at all really, is yet known about whatFace/Off 2will involve. But, with Pedro Pascal currently one of the most popular actors thanks to his exemplary work in the likes of theStar WarsseriesThe Mandalorian, the crime seriesNarcos, and big-screen ventures such asWonder Woman 1984andThe Equalizer 2, he would surely be a welcome addition to theFace/Offfranchise.

Released way back in 1997, the firstFace/Offfollows FBI Agent Sean Archer (John Travolta), who undergoes experimental plastic surgery in order to impersonate his son’s killer and sworn enemy, Castor Troy (Nicolas Cage). While his initial mission goes well, the real trouble begins when Castor awakens from a coma and undergoes the same procedure, and begins impersonating Sean.

Face/Off 2is one of several projects currently in the pipeline forGodzilla vs. Kongdirector Adam Wingard, and while nothing has yet been revealed about the sequel, the filmmaker has hinted that Nicolas Cage will return. Cage himself has also now responded tothe idea of resurrecting Castor Troy, replying with a simple “yes” when asked during a recent Reddit AMA.

“Face/Offis my favorite action movie, largely because we had the maestro John Woo to direct,” he added. “The process was a matter of getting video of Travolta’s dailies and trying to study it so I could copy his voice and movements. John Travolta conversely did the same with my dailies.”
