This will be Pascal’s first time hosting, but it’s the seventh time musical guest Coldplay has performed on the show. Given the popularity ofThe Last of Us, it seemed more than likely that the show would be subject to a parody onSNL, though fans may not have expected to see Pascal already meeting clickers atSNLahead of his debut on Saturday. Chances are there will be more ofThe Last of Usthat gets spoofed in the new episode, along with a plethora of other sketches that will have Pascal playing much more comedic characters.

Pedro Pascal Is Dominating the Small Screen

The video game adaptation has drawn very high viewership in addition to its acclaim, with the latter pushing the show up to become one of the highest-rated programs on IMDb. The series has been renewed for a second season so fans already know there will be more to come from Pascal as Joel.
A new poster has also just been released for the third season ofThe Mandalorian. Pascal stars in theStar Warsseries and will be back in the anticipated season 3. The new season is one month away from its release, set to arrive on Disney+ on March 1. That comes just in time for fans to transition over fromThe Last of Us, which ends its first season on March 12.
Catch Pascal onSaturday Night Livewhen his episode airs on NBC on Feb. 4. It will be made available for streaming starting the next day on Peacock, along with past episodes of the sketch comedy show.
