Peter Dinklagemade his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Eitri the Dwarf inAvengers: Infinity War, and while he served a very necessary purpose in that movie it looks like there is every chance we will see him returning again inThor: Love and Thunder. The Game of Thrones star recently stirred speculation about his MCU future while appearing on theEmpire Film Podcastand seemingly making sure he mentionedThor 4for no particular reason other than to make sure that he mentioned it.
In his first appearance, Dinklage’s character was sought out by Thor to help create a new weapon for the God of Thunder following the destruction of Mjolnir inThor: Ragnarok. However, on finding Eitri, it was revealed that Thanos had forced the Dwarf to create the Infinity Gauntlet for him, and then had ensured that he would never make another weapon by taking away the use of his hands. Despite this, with combined help of Rocket and Groot, Eitri was able to guide Thor into making Stormbreaker.

InThor: Love and Thunder, every indication points to Jane Foster lifting a re-forged Mjolnir, and considering the only person said to be capable of doing this, with a little help, is Eitri. For that reason it has been rumored for a little while that we could see Peter Dinklage back in the upcoming movie. Now it appears the actor has hinted at his involvement in the film, by making sure he certainly didn’t mention it, even though he did. In response to being questioned about his MCU future, Dinklage said:
“Umm, well there’s another Thor movie there, isn’t there, that’s coming out? That Taika’s directed? What – I didn’t say anything. I didn’t say anything. What? What?”

Doctor Strange is Currently Getting A Lot of Attention, but Thor: Love And Thunder is Not Far Behind.
With Marvel Studios putting out new content pretty much every month, fans only have a limited window of time to discuss their theories before everything shifts to the next project. While all eyes are squarely on the upcoming multiverse adventure of Doctor Strange, the arrival of new toy lines and actor interviews have reminded people that Thor’s new movie is arriving just two months later in July.
Despite official details aboutThor: Love and Thunder’s plotline being scarce, we do know quite a bit about who will be involved in the movie. Along with Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Natalie Portman returning as Jane Foster, members of theGuardians of the Galaxyteam will also feature in the movie before heading off for their own adventure next year. It has also been suggested that Matt Dillon and Sam Neill will be back in their small roles as Asgardian players last seen inThor: Ragnarok, while new arrivals to the franchise include Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher and Russell Crowe as Zeus.
Whether Peter Dinklage will be another addition to the cast, and who else will make unexpected appearances is something we may get more hints at, but will have to wait until July 8th to find out for certain.
