While it remains to be seen how much more filming is need on the series, some of these images even show that, on the right side of his head, The Punisher has quite the nasty gash, which come just a few months after set photos that showcased Frank Castle stealing a cop car.

Gettydebuted these photos over the weekend, which showedJon Bernthallooking like he had just come from a fight, although no details were given about the scene he was shooting. Netflix has yet to announce when this series will debut, but it will most likely happen next year, with the streaming service already debutingIron Fistlast month, andThe Defendersalso expected to debut sometime this year. It’s possible that Netflix could releaseThe Punisherby the end of this year, but that will likely depend on how much filming remains.

There had been rumors that one of the new characters coming aboard forThe Punisherspinoff is Microchip, which were recently confirmed.Ebon Moss-Bachrachhas come aboard to play this character, now dubbed Micro, a former NSA analyst whose secrets may be of great value to Frank Castle and everyone around them.Amber Rose Revahalso signed on to playDinah Madani, a highly-trained sophisticated Homeland Security agent who is vexed by the Punisher.Ben Barnesplays Billy Russo, Frank’s Castle’s best friend from his days in the Special Forces, who runs a successful private military corporation called “Anvil.”

With theset photosthat show Karen Page is a part of this Punisher spin-off, many have wondered what other characters from the Marvel Netflix universe will show up. It hasn’t been confirmed if any other Daredevil stars such asCharlie CoxorElden Hensonwill make any appearances in this spin-off, but this whole MCU TV universe has never had a shortage of crossovers.Rosario Dawson’s Night Nurse has appeared inDaredevil, Jessica Jones},Luke Cageand the most recent seriesIron Fist, which debuted on March 17.
