During a recent interview with Variety, Brett Goldstein teased what fans can expect from Season 3 ofShrinking, including Michael J. Fox’s eagerly anticipated guest role. Season 3 will have not one (Harrison Ford), not two (Jeff Daniels), but three (Michael J. Fox) A-list stars appearing on-screen, potentially all sharing a scene together. “Being on set when Harrison Ford and Michael J Fox are doing a scene, you’re like, ‘Am I tripping?'” Goldstein said of the experience of shooting Season 3, which is still ongoing. “Am I back in my bedroom in the 80s?”

However, with Season 2 revealing thatHarrison Ford’s character, Paul, has Parkinson’sdisease, fans are expecting Fox’s role to have close ties to that storyline, given the actor’s own diagnosis. As for Jeff Daniels, fans are curious about the relationship Jimmy has with his father. Over the past two seasons, the character has barely mentioned his parents, and it is assumed that they weren’t very close or supportive following the death of his wife, Tia.
Will Brett Goldstein Appear On-Screen in ‘Shrinking’ Season 3?

As well as co-creating the series, the comedian also writes and executive produces the show, as well asstarring in the second season as Louis,the drunk driver responsible for the death of Tia. The Season 2 finale saw Jimmy finally begin to forgive and accept Louis, following his daughter Alice’s (Lukita Maxwell) progress in overcoming her grief.
With Louis now an accepted member of theShrinkingfamily, fans are wondering if we will see more from his character in Season 2. On the one hand, it felt like the Season 2 finale neatly wrapped up his arc. However, for Louis to then just disappear in Season 3 would feel odd, as there could be more layers to Jimmy’s forgiveness. A major plot twist could even involve Louis seeking therapy from the practice where Jimmy works.
Season 3 ofShrinkingwill also see Jimmy reunite with another Season 2 character.How I Met Your Mother’s Cobie Smuldersguest-starred as Sofia in the second season, and she appeared to have chemistry with Jimmy. Fans are desperate to see the characters reunite on screen, and Season 3 is giving in to that desperation.
