3Sheev Palpatine

While Sheev Palpatine is obviously one of the most ruthlessStar Warscharacters to ever be created, there is a reason he is on this list. Palpatine started his political career as the Senator for Naboo, and thanks to his manipulation of the system and the people within it, he managed to become Supreme Chancellor of the Senate. After further manipulation, he managed to gain even more power, getting his hands on the Clones from Kamino and eventually turning the senate againstthe Jedi Order. Palpatine fantastically worked his way through the bureaucratic system of the Galactic Republic to take over and eventually name himself Emperor. By the time he had complete control of the senate, there was nothing anyone could do to stop him as he was too powerful to go against. This makes him one of the best and definitively the most dangerous political leader in theStar Warsuniverse, despite his lack of morals.

2Bail Organa

Bail Organa served as the senator for Alderaan, being a strong voice for peace and democracy throughout the Clone Wars. Organa also served as the First Chairman of the Alderaanian Monarchy and as Viceroy. When Padmé died giving birth to her twins Luke and Leia, Bail took in Leia, raising her to become a strong leader like himself. After the fall of the Galactic Republic, Bail served the Empire while quietly supporting the Rebel Alliance, being one of the main politicians to involve himself in the Rebellion against the Empire. PerScreen Rant, Bail died when Alderaan was destroyed by the Death Star, but he will forever be remembered as one of the revolutionaries whose sacrifice restored peace in the Galaxy.

1Queen Padmé Amidala

Topping our list is the iconic Padmé Amidala. First serving as the Queen of Naboo at the young age of 15, Padmé was loved by her people for her compassion and her determination. When the Trade Federation blocked all Naboo’s trade routes, Queen Amidala refused to cave to the Federation’s wishes, choosing to fight for her people instead. Padmé is one of the few politicians to actively work for her people’s needs. When her people were suffering, she took action, getting help from the Gungans and creating a plan to infiltrate the palace on Naboo and take back her home. After her stint as Queen, Padmé was offered the role as new Senator of Naboo, taking over from former Senator Palpatine. Padmé continued to serve as a Senator on the Galactic Senate until her death.
