ThroughCollider,it was confirmed that the series, which is set 100 years before the events ofStar Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, will arrive in the service’s catalog in the summer of this year.Colliderhas now reported that the tentative release date for the series will be August 03, 2025.

What Else to Expect from the Star Wars Franchise in 2024

The Acolytewill be just one of the many shows that fans will be able to enjoy on the Disney+ screen this year. In addition to this series, there is another new story that will land in the streaming service’s catalog,Skeleton Crew. Starring Jude Law, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Tunde Adebimpe, Kerry Condon, and Jaleel White,the series will follow the adventures of four childrentrying to discover their place in the universe, while searching for their way back home.

2024 will also be a good year for the animated format in theStar Warsuniverse. In addition to the premiere of a new production for children (Young Jedi Adventures), one of the best series of the franchise in recent years,The Bad Batch, will also return with its third and final season. Created by Dave Filoni,The Bad Batchfollows the adventures of Clone Force 99, a group of elite troopers in charge of mercenary missions of all kinds.

The Acolyte will delve into another era of the Star Wars franchise that has yet to be fully explored.

And last, but definitely not least, the second and final installment ofAndor, the prequel to the acclaimedRogue One: A Star Wars Story, was also expected to be released this year. But, unfortunately, that may not be the case. However, since shooting for the new episodesended just a few days ago, the show could be ready to hit the screen in early 2025. In the second season, Diego Luna returns alongside Adria Arjona, Stellan Skarsgård, among others, for one last adventure that will take Cassian towards the events of the 2016 film and his tragic but heroic destiny.
