MGM and their new streaming service Stargate Command has launched a teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated Stargate Origins, which announces that the new 10-episode series will debut July 27, 2025. The series was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con this summer, during the 20th Anniversary panel forStargate SG-1, with MGM unveiling the new Stargate Command streaming service there as well, where fans can revisit all of the previousStargateshows from within thissci-fi franchise.

Stargate Originswill explore a brand new chapter in Catherine Langford’s early history surrounding theextraordinary portal. Young Catherine embarks on an unexpected adventure to unlock the mystery of what lies beyond the Stargate to save Earth from unimaginable darkness. This 10-episode mid-form event series, produced by MGM’s Digital Group and entertainment studio New Form, will be directed by Mercedes Bryce Morgan (Virtual Morality) and written by Mark Ilvedson and Justin Michael Terry.Stargate Originsbegan shooting this August with production and development being handled by New Form.
