Tulsa King Season 2 Up’s the Stakes for Stallone and Company
Tulsa King
With just two episodes under its belt so far, Season 2 ofTulsa Kingis already off to an explosive start that promises a big confrontation between Stallone’s character of Dwight “The General” Manfredi, and newcomer Frank Grillo’s character of Bill Bevilaqua. As Dwight and the gang look to further expand their marijuana operation, they find themselves encroaching on Bevilaqua’s territory, something that the boss of the Kansas City crime family isn’t too happy about.
As to what that confrontation might look like between Manfredi and Bevilaqua? Speakingwith MovieWeb last week, Grillo promised that Season 2 of Tulsa King “ends with a bang,” while at the same time teasing that everything might not be as it seems, and that he and Stallone could end up fighting on the same side to take down a bigger threat by the time it’s all said and done, possibly involving Neal McDonough’s Cal Thresher, who is another new addition this season.

“It’s that classic kind of, you know, [Sly’s character is] someplace that belongs to me, and he’s there without my permission. And when I come to ask for what’s mine… you know, the rest of it ensues. And it starts out where we’re so adversarial, and it goes in another direction, and that’s what I loved about it. I got to do some great stuff with [Sly] and got even closer to him.”
Sylvester Stallone’s Tulsa King Character Is More Like Him Than People Realize
Sylvester Stallone shares his thoughts on the similarities between himself and his mobster alter-ego.
In addition to Stallone and Grillo, there’s also the subplots going on featuring Dwight’s daughter, Tina (Tatiana Zappardino), Chickie Invernizzi (Domenick Lombardozzi), and the rest of Manfredi’s crew, all of which blend seamlessly into the main storyline to keep audiences engaged and tuning in week after week. It’s good to know those weeks will continue into Season 3, which we’ll have more news about as it becomes available.
