TheJohn Wickfranchise has done wonders for the action genre. And while it’ll be quite some time before we eversee John Wick again, fans of the franchise will be glad to know thatThe Continentalhas turned out to be a great addition to the world ofJohn Wick.

If you’re unfamiliar with the show,The Continentalis a series that’s set in 1970s New York. Given this, the events in the series occur decades before theJohn Wickfilms. The show revolves around Winston Scott, a modern-day street urchin who will rise through the ranks and eventually become the manager of one of the criminal underworld’s most sacred locations: The Continental Hotel.

Colin Woodell in The Continental

If you’re looking to get into the show but need a little help then we’ve got just the thing for you. Here’s where you may recognize the cast ofThe Continentalfrom.

Colin Woodell as Winston Scott

Seeing as the series is set in the past, it makes sense to recast Ian McShane’s role. Winston Scott, who will go on to be one of John Wick’s greatest allies, is played byColin Woodell. Woodell has been on a slew of different shows such asThe Purge,The Originals, and HBO’sgenre-bending dark comedyThe Flight Attendant.

Aside from being younger, this version of Winston Scott is also far less prominent than the one that we meet in the films. Long before he becomes the manager of the Continental Hotel, Winston Scott is roped up in the affairs of the criminal underworld. Cormac, the current manager of the Continental Hotel, has tasked Winston to look for and turn in his own brother Frankie Scott.

Ben Robson plays Frankie Scott in Peacock’s World of John Wick series

Ben Robson as Frankie Scott

Frankie Scott, who is played byBen Robson, has become an early fan favorite. Frankie is, and we mean this in the best way possible, your typical knucklehead action star. Unlike Winston, Frankie opts for a more direct solution to problems and is not one to back down from a fight.

Ben Robson is perfect for the role of Frankie as he’s had a lot of experience playing intense roles thanks to his time on shows likeAnimal KingdomandVikings.

Nhung Kate plays Yen in Peacock’s World of John Wick series

Nhung Kate as Yen

Frankie isn’t doing all of this on his own, as his wife Yen has chosen to accompany him. This puts Yen, who is played byNhung Kate, in Cormac’s crosshairs. Getting to her ultimately means getting to Frankie as well, which is why Yen has chosen to go into hiding with her husband.

The Continental: What We Actually Wanted From the John Wick Series

Jon Wick is a defining action hero in a world of assassins. But the last thing we needed was more of them and less of him.

Unfortunately for Cormac, Yen is also an incredibly skilled fighter that will make capturing Frankie even harder than it already is. Outside of her stint on the show, Nhung Kate has been on shows such asSwapping Fate,The Housemaid, andBitcoin Heist.

Winston Scott in The Continental

Mel Gibson as Cormac

Cormac, who is played byMel Gibson, is the manager of the Continental Hotel. Gibson is best known for his movies such asBraveheart,Lethal Weapon, andthe originalMad Maxtrilogy. Cormac is set up as the main antagonist of the series. Unlike his modern-day counterpart, Cormac is subservient to the High Table and is more than willing to do its bidding to maintain his power.

Peter Greene as Charlie

Charlie is a character who briefly appears in theJohn Wickfilms as a member of the cleanup crew. While he’ll be played byPeter Greeneinstead of David Patrick Kelly, Charlie pretty much fulfills the same role as he does in the films. Outside of his appearance on this show, you may recognize Peter Greene from his time onThe Mask.

Ayomide Adegun as Charon

Charon was just one of the many iconic charactersthe late Lance Reddickhas played throughout his long and storied career. Fans of the franchise will be glad to know that Charon will also be present in the series and will be portrayed byAyomide Adegun. While this is the actor’s first role, he does have an upcoming role inThe Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

Before becoming the concierge and Winston’s closest ally, Charon used to work for Cormac and would do anything that the manager asked of him. It’s likely that this will change throughout the series considering Charon’s role in the films.

Mel Gibson in The Continental

Katie McGrath as The Adjudicator

The world of theJohn Wickfranchise is ruled by a shadowy organization called the High Table. to maintain control, the High Table has deployed skilled agents called Adjudicators. Fans of the films likely remember Asia Kate Dillon for their memorable performance as the Adjudicator in the films. The Adjudicator featured in the series is played byKatie McGrath.

McGrath is best known for playing Lena Luthor onSupergirl. Similar to the Adjudicators in the films, the Adjudicator in the series is deployed by the High Table to assist Cormac in finding Frankie Scott.

Mishel Prada as KD

While things may seem dire, not everyone in the show is working for the High Table. Detective KD, played byMishel Prada, is dedicated to addressing the corruption that plagues the city. Unfortunately, this brings her to the Continental Hotel. Despite her good intentions, she may be in over her head as her investigation has brought her into the criminal underground.

If Prada looks familiar to you, then you may recognize her from her stint onRiverdale. In a role that’s vastly different from her portrayal of KD, Prada played Veronica Lodge’s secret sister in one of theshow’s many bizarre storylines.

Jeremy Bobb as Mayhew

Jeremy Bobbplays KD’s superior officer Detective Mayhew. Unlike KD, Mayhew isn’t as keen about putting himself in harm’s way by trying to get at the root of corruption. This is understandable as he’s been on the force longer than KD and has a lot more to lose as he’s got a family waiting at home. Outside of his work onContinental, Jeremy Bobb has been on shows such asJessica Jones,Manhunt: Unabomber, andThe Knick.

Hubert Point-Du Jour as Miles

Miles, who is played byHubert Point-Du Jour, runs a local gun-running operation. Miles uses the profits from gun-running to fund the dojo that he runs with his sister. Hubert Point-Du Jour has appeared in shows such asThe Good Lord Bird,Dr. Death, andCity on a Hill.
