Despite its early success,The Interviewhas not been received well by at least one organization, The Golden Raspberry Awards, a.k.a. The Razzies, which has released its “short list” of nominees.The Interviewis listed in several categories including Worst Picture, Worst On-Screen Combo (James FrancoandSeth Rogen) and Worst Actor (bothJames FrancoandSeth Rogen). Voting for the Razzie Awards ends on January 10, with the nominations to be announced January 14, one day beforeThe Academy Awardsnominations are announced.
Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas, which was alreadyvoted the worst movie of all time by IMDB users, is also prominently featured on the short list, with nominations for Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, Worst Screen Combo (“Kirk Cameronand his Ego”), Worst Director (Darren Doane), Worst Supporting Actress (Bridgette Cameron), and Worst Actor (Kirk Cameron). Other short-listed nominees for Worst Picture includeTranscendence,A Million Ways to Die in the West, Atlas Shrugged: Part III,The Legend of Hercules,Sex Tape,A Haunted House 2,Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,Left Behind,Transformers: Age of ExtinctionandI, Frankenstein.
