Funko has unveiled their second wave of Pop figures based onThe Mandalorian, which includes plenty of awesome new additions but an unfortunate lack of Baby Yoda. A handful of characters from the series have already been given the Pop treatment in the first wave of figures from Funko, and this new set will bring 15 more must-have collectibles. PerFunko, this line of figures forThe Mandalorianwill include Greef Karga, Heavy Infantry Mandalorian, Q9-Zero, Incinerator Stormtrooper, Offworld Jawa, Covert Mandalorian, The Mandalorian, The Armorer, The Client, and Deluxe the Mandalorian on Blurrg. The various store exclusives include a two-pack Mandalorian and IG-11 for Barnes and Noble, a Death Watch Mandalorian for GameStop, a Mandalorian with flame for Target, a Trandoshan Thug for Walgreens, and the Mandalorian with Beskar armor for Amazon.

Given the immense popularity of the character, it’s certainly a bit odd to see Baby Yoda has no presence in the second wave of figures. Of course, he was included in the first wave of Funko Pop figures, which consisted of a normal-sized Pop and a 10-inch “super sized” version. Other characters fromThe Mandalorianincluded in the first wave include Kuiil, Cara Dune, IG-11, and, of course, the Mandalorian. For moreBaby Yoda, Mattel, Hasbro, and Disney have also unveiled their own plush versions of “The Child.”

The Mandalorianhas proven to be a big success forDisney+asStar Warsfans have widely embraced the new series. Starring Pedro Pascal, the series follows the exploits of a Mandalorian bounty hunter in the years afterReturn of the Jediand beforeThe Force Awakens. Creator Jon Favreau has since revealed thatThe Mandalorianwill be back with a second season in Fall 2020, and it has also been reported that season 2 will also feature the returns of some fan favorite characters from the movies.

Oddly enough,The Mandalorianhas been better received byStar Warsfans thanThe Rise of Skywalker, which has been gathering mixed reviews since its release in theaters. If you’re on social media, chances are you’ve seen some of the negative criticism yourself. Whether it’s a complaint about Kelly Marie Tran’s lack of screen time as Rose Tico, or a perceived “lack of imagination” on the part of co-writers J. J. Abrams and Chris Terrio, the movie has been getting criticized for a variety of reasons. No exact shipping date for this second wave of Pop figures forThe Mandalorianhas been revealed, as according to Funko, they are merely “coming soon.” For now, fans of the show can alwaysrevisit the first season of The Mandaloriananytime on Disney+, and watch for season 2 to arrive this fall.
