Not every actor gets to return to the world of Mike White’sThe White Lotus, soNatasha Rothwellmade the most of it when she reprised her role as Belinda in the upcoming third season. Rothwell will be just the second actor to make a sophomore appearance in the hit anthology series. Jennifer Coolidge returned as Tanya McQuoid in Season 2, and was dramatically killed off in the finale. Rothwell sat out the second season, which saw the new cast members fly to Italy. But Season 3 is taking them even further abroad to Thailand, although Rothwell still can’t reveal why.
“I would be on set, even when it wasn’t my day shooting, just to watch the magic unfold,“Natasha Rothwell toldEntertainment Weeklyduring a recent interview. Rothwell is joined in Season 3 by series newcomers Jason Isaacs, Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Walton Goggins, Michelle Monaghan, and Aimee Lou Wood, to name a few. Full plot details have yet to be revealed for Season 3, but Rothwell promises it will feature all the shocking twists and turns fans have come to love from the hit HBO series. She teased:

“AndI would be gagged— as if I hadn’t already read all the scripts! I’d be like, ‘Oh, sh*t.’ I really do think that this season is magic. That’s the only word.”
While the new characters are still a mystery, Rothwell’s Belinda is an established face in the White Lotus hotel chain. Thefirst trailer for Season 3teased why the character moved from Hawaii (the location of Season 1) to Thailand.

“She’s still working at the White Lotus, and she’s in Thailand doing sort of an exchange program to learn more about the wellness programs that the Thailand White Lotus offers,” Rothwell revealed. “She’s going to be a guest for the first time, even though she’s taking classes and it’s a work trip. She’s staying at the hotel, which is something that she hasn’t done before, and so we get to see her really dip her toe in the other side of life of the upstairs/downstairs of White Lotus.”
Natasha Rothwell Has to Remain Very Secretive About ‘The White Lotus’ Season 3
It’s a good thing Rothwell is an actress, because earning a starring role inThe White Lotusmeans keeping closely-guarded secrets from her friends and family. “The tension has been unbearable, honestly,” she said of keeping the plot secretive from her loved ones. “My hairdresser, the cab driver, people have been shaking me down for information, and I’m just like, ‘I’ve signed my life away. I can’t tell you anything.'” What shecanreveal is that her son – heard only via a phone call in Season 1 – is officially appearing in Season 3, and that this plot will really “raise the stakes.”
