The White Lotusfinally made its epic return for Season 3. The anthology drama, in which each season takes place at the eponymous White Lotus hotel in a different vacation destination, is set in luxurious Thailand this time. Beloved for its satirical takedown of international consumer culture,The White Lotushas consistently boasted steady streaming numbers, star-studded casts, and quotable lines.
The principal castfor this round of the traveling murder mystery was announced back in January 2024. Fans have been eagerly awaiting to see how the likes of Leslie Bibb, Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Michelle Monaghan, Aimee Lou Wood, and more fit into the universe they know and love. It was also announced that Natasha Rothwell, who played Belinda in Season 1, would be returning as a character. However, there was one familiar face that viewers were not anticipating.

Yes, it was. TheWhite Lotuscreators did not let on thatGreg Hunt (played by Jon Gries), the ultimately evil ex-husband of fan favorite character Tanya McQuoid-Hunt (Jennifer Coolidge, dearly missed on the show after her iconic exit), would be returning for his third consecutive season. Yet, there he was, sitting at the White Lotus hotel, bald and devious as ever.
This time, he seems to be accompanying a new date to the hotel, a model named Chloe (played by Charlotte Le Bon). He is pointed out by Chloe to a new core character, Chelsea (Wood), as they discuss the avoidant boyfriends they are each attending the resort with. The quick glance at Greg was enough to send fans abuzz with recognition and ire.
Where Did We Last Leave Greg (and Tanya)?
In Season 1, Greg and Tanya, both single travelers, meet at the White Lotus hotel in Hawaii. Greg was a bachelor who was seemingly smitten with Tanya. He courts her and tells her that he has a terminal illness. Tanya, an ever-giving person, agrees to front any costs she must for his treatment.The two agree to get married, and thus, in Season 2, we see them post-nuptials.
There is immediately some strife in their marriage. Greg and Tanya travel to the White Lotus in Sicily together, as well as Tanya’s assistant,Portia (Haley Lu Richardson).The third wheel irritates Greg, as do many of Tanya’s behaviors and eccentricities.Greg abruptly tells Tanya that he has to leave their trip for a few days to fly to Denmark for “work.“Before he leaves, Tanya overhears him talking about her on the phone, referring to her “clueless” nature.

While alone in Sicily, Tanya befriends a gay man named Quentin (Tom Hollander). At first seemingly a well-intentioned friendship, Tanya accepts an invitation onto Quentin’s boat for a yacht party. Once aboard, the truth becomes clear, and Tanya utters one of the best lines in television history as she calls for help, “Please, these gays, they’re trying to murder me.”
It turns outQuentin is in cahoots with Greg and the two have plotted to kill Tanya for her inheritance. In a girlboss turn of events, Tanya manages to take out everyone on the boat with a handgun, nearly guaranteeing her safety. Accidentally, however,Tanya slips and hits her head on the boat, causing her to drown.
He Cannot Get Away With This!
It seems that Greg has successfully and regretfully managed to get his hands on Tanya’s riches, and he is using them to live exorbitantly in Thailand with a model. We know he has been there for at least a year, according to his new girlfriend Chloe. She tells Chelsea that Greg is now an “LBH” or “Loser Back Home,” one of the people who lives in Thailand near the resort.
There is one clear beacon of hope for fans praying for Greg’s downfall: Belinda. Greg likely has not crossed paths with her yet, and probably does not know she is at the Thailand White Lotus.Belinda, the spa manager for the Hawaii White Lotus,is there learning about Thailand’s hotel practices.

She also became rather good friends with Tanya during Season 1 and would certainly remember Greg should she see him. All this to say,it is possible Greg could be in for a rude awakening.On top of that, it seems that his current girlfriend does not care for him much, and his general demeanor seems quite grim. Will he get his comeuppance? Only time (and seven more episodes) will tell.
