The video doesn’t feature any new footage, but does offer a glimpse at footage from the original series, featuring Michael J. Anderson as The Man From Another Place, who is seen dancing in The Black Lodge. The actor hasn’t been confirmed to return for the newTwin Peaksseries yet, but the actor himself recently has said that he isn’t coming back.

When a fan saw that he is listed on the show’s IMDB page, updated last week, the actor replied that his purported involvement is, “news to me.” It’s possible that the actor is just playing coy, or that he was approached about returning in the days between his Facebook post and the trailer’s debut last night.
In the originalTwin Peaks, Michael J. Anderson’s The Man From Another Place resided at The Black Lodge, a place said to be a realm of pure evil. He first shows up on the original show’s third episode, appearing in a dream of Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan), where he gives him clues to track down The Man’s arch-enemy, BOB. He only appeared in two more episodes after that in the second season, after Cooper enters The Black Lodge, and he returned in the 1992 feature film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me.
As of now,Kyle MacLachlanis the only confirmed original cast member to return forTwin Peaks. We reported last month thatAmanda Seyfriedhas signed on to play a brandnew character, who some believe could be the daughter of Dale Cooper and Annie Blackburn (Heather Graham).Robert Knepperhas also joined the cast in an unspecified role, while original cast members such as Mädchen Amick,Sheryl LeeandSherilyn Fennhave been rumored to reprise their roles.
A report surfaced last month that directorDavid Lynchis directing the new series as one long movie, which will later be edited into individual episodes, although an exact episode count has not been given yet.David Lynchco-wrote the script withMark Frost, and new photos from the North Bend, Washington set reveal that the town’s Twede’s Cafe will be turned back into theDouble R Dinerfrom the original Twin Peaks series.
